Portuguese Association of Hospital Managers

Founded in 1981, the Portuguese Association of Hospital Managers (APAH) is the most representative organization of professionals in administration and management in the healthcare sector in Portugal. Since the beginning, APAH has been a key player in promoting efficient healthcare management in the country, with the aim of improving the quality of care provided to the population and guaranteeing the effectiveness of processes in the healthcare system.

Over the years, APAH strengthened its ties with other professional, academic and political bodies, with the aim of collaborating in the construction of health policies in Portugal and improving the care provided to the population. With more than 40 years of existence, APAH has remained a benchmark for hospital administration and management professionals in Portugal, always committed to excellence, innovation and the continuous development of health management.

APAH’s mission is to promote the development of healthcare management in Portugal, being a meeting point for Hospital Managers, Healthcare Unit Managers and other professionals in the field. The association presents itself as a space for dialog, sharing knowledge, facilitating collaboration between professionals in the field, contributing to the evolution of hospital management and the implementation of best practices in this sector.
